The weather is stunning and the blossoms are popping out in the orchard.  If I can only keep the mountain parrots from picking out the buds this year should be a bumper crop.

Bruny Island is located off of the Tasmanian coastline and is reached by a 15 minute ferry ride. You can take your car or camper van on the ferry and there are loads of stunning accommodation properties overlooking the coastline.

I spotted these wild artichokes growing in Simpsons Bay. As well as native plants Bruny Island has imported flowers and fruit tree’s brought there by early settlers.

Bruny Island is surrounded by crisp clean beaches and stunning bays.

Many of the beaches are edged by lovely bushland or salty scrub and sand dunes.

There are so many beaches on Bruny that there are almost enough for every family on the Island to have a beach to themselves.

The waters are incredibly clean and if your lucky you are very likely to see dolphins and occasionally a whale.
